About Miss Priss Designs

Hi, I’m the owner and designer behind Miss Priss, a handcrafted children’s clothing brand nestled in beautiful Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Sewing has been my passion since childhood. I grew up watching my mother sew at her Singer treadle machine, taking in work to support our family while my dad was in graduate school. I’d stand behind her, fascinated, as she brought fabric to life. She gave me scraps, a needle and thread, and before long, I had my own little sketchbook filled with paper dolls and crayon-colored outfits. That’s when the nickname “Miss Priss” was born—and so was my love for design.

By the early '90s, I was already a proud mom to two boys, Curtis and Ryan—and then came Emily, my own little Miss Priss. I began making sweet, classic outfits for her with ruffles, big collars, and full skirts—designed with the whimsical details that defined the era. Soon, other moms were asking for outfits too, and in 1995, our small handmade business officially began.

As our story continued and Emily welcomed a daughter of her own, we decided to bring our talents together to design for a new generation of little girls. Today, every Miss Priss design is crafted with care, a love for timeless style, and a touch of whimsy—just like in the beginning.
